{"id":909,"date":"2013-06-27T09:08:02","date_gmt":"2013-06-27T13:08:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dinkel.us\/?p=909"},"modified":"2013-06-27T09:31:46","modified_gmt":"2013-06-27T13:31:46","slug":"uztm-and-istanbul-on-the-road-much-more-than-i-thought","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dinkel.us\/?p=909","title":{"rendered":"UZ\/TM and Istanbul&#8230;.on the road much more than I thought&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I knew that the last trip involved an extreme amount of travel but, thanks to Derek, I now know\u00a0the\u00a0mileage\u00a0as well as the exact path we traveled.\u00a0 We traveled 904 miles in Uzbekistan&#8211;446 on a plane from Tashkent to Urgench\u00a0(Khiva) and 939 miles in Turkmenistan&#8211;all by car\u00a0over, inarguably, the worst road conditions in the world. At one point in Turkmenistan, traveling away from Ashgabat, you may notice we drove about 3km from the Iranian border.
