Fall photos from KY…..a warm up for my next big trip.

After 5 years lugging my Canon G9 camera all over the world, I decided to upgrade a bit and just received a shiny new Sony NEX 5N.  I was a bit hesistant to depart from the big names in the photo industry–Canon, Nikon, etc.–but I am very satisfied with my decision.  I went to the Bernheim Forest in KY this weekend to test out the new toy.  Here are a few photos from Sunday.   Keep an eye on the blog starting Nov 18 as I start a 2 week trip to Italy (surprise) and Istanbul.

Just found this Utah photo on our other camera….

….this shows the California Condor in much better detail and you can clearly see that it is tagged as #99 (click on the photo for a larger view).

Utah and Arizona – Final Thoughts

I was more than pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed my recent trip to Utah.  You probably wouldn’t realize that by the overly-serious look on my face in the photo from my initial post so I will post another below that more accurately conveys my feelings.

I want to also thank the shop and hotel owners in the town of Springdale–you were all very accomodating and you have a very nice little town. I hope to be back again sometime.

To anyone that loves the outdoors, I can’t think of another area of the country where you can travel to many National Parks in a relatively short period of time.

I will end my Utah blog with three of my favorite photos from each of the National Parks that we visited–Zion, Bryce Canyon and the Grand Canyon North Rim. Enjoy!
